I've had periods of intense, extremely horrible agitated anxiety. What did fix it for me was changing my life circumstances, some how I got a job I liked and the anxiety calmed down a lot.
If I had to rate supplements then I would rate the following that worked best for me at calming my anxiety :
Magnesium Citrate
Kava Kava (from raw root)
Taurine (finding the correct dosage the difficult part)Relora, Theanine, Phenibut, Bacopa, Rhodiola, Ashwhaghanda and Inositol were all pretty much useless, I did experiment with different brands as well, and combinations.
I also found a gluten free diet helped a lot in reducing anxiety.
I'm sure there's a genetic disposition to this type of extreme anxiety, diet and lifestyle are very important in reducing the extremity of the anxiety.
