> I took kava kava to relieve anxiety at one time. Doesnt the liquid form have alcohol? I used to put a bunch of drops on my toungue. It helped in the old days for me, but now I need the benzo. I think Id throw up if I tasted that stuff again. Bleah.
Its extracted with aclholol which means pure ethanol was used in the making some where down the line but was then discarded mostly.
Many supplements need ethanol to help conversions, however usualy a 5 percent is left or lower, and now actualy most companys are trying to stick to water based extracts which are very un potent.
But the acholol isnt there to add to the herb, instead just to make it known to the customer that trace, very small amounts might still be in it,also since alcholol is so poetent its also use to tout the product since the acholol extracted ones will be more potent because the acholol did a better job at whatever it is that is being done to finish the product, but its not to be looked at as a addition to the product.
