Will Zinc Restore Taste and Smell if so What Kind?

Three years ago lost taste and smell and went to two taste and smell centers and they said the neurons in my nose had been destroyed by a virus. Some say zinc will restore some say may it worse. What's the store if so what kind and how much? Love Phillipa
