flatulence with 5-htp

Has anyone else experienced this? I'm assuming it's the 5-htp, but I can't say for sure. I've been taking 100 mg. at night before bed. Before that, I was on 50 mg. and didn't notice a lot of digestive distress, but now... whoa. Bloating, rumbling, and AWFUL gas. Any insight or suggestions as to how I can eliminate this side effect, if it IS indeed a side effect? Thanks! :)
