Natural approach to Crohn's?

Posted by obaterista on December 1, 2007, at 21:48:48

Hello, all, and thanks for your help. I was diagnosed with Crohn's about 8 years ago. I was taking meds (azathioprene and asacol) to help, and they did - for a while. About two years ago, after developing a new symptom (abscess - don't get me started), I decided to look into some natural alternatives.

As of today, I'm taking aloe vera (Gastric Gold brand), a probiotic, and seaweed (Sea Vegg). Though I'm not cured, I feel no worse than when I was on the meds (no longer on any). The abscess is still around, so the supplements aren't perfect. So, why am I writing?

I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions as to what I'm taking, or if there's any other natural supplements to recommend. I'm contemplating Limu, though I'm not sold on it's validity.

Thanks to all who read, and respond, to my post. Have a great day.

Erik
