Link started this as a sidenote in a previous thread about Vitex. I thought it would be initeresting to get input from everyone. Link's top 5 are omega-3, folate, turmeric, sjw, vitex.
Mine, hmmm. SAMe, folate, maybe maca.... darn, I guess I need some more.
SJW was real good at one time, some pungeant alcohol smelling capsules, which I am told was the old GNC formula now discontinued. Kira did pretty good, but with SJW I find each brand to be as different as antidepressants are from each other...lots of trial and error in brand and dose. MACA definitely had a good feel to it, kind of a warm stimulation without jitters; but with daily use I got kind of edgy and cranky, even at miniscule doses. But on an as needed basis, it is excellent for a much needed boost in energy and mood. SAMe can be felt the first day and really kicks in by day 3, but seems to require higher and higher doses over time. Folate kicks depression in the butt in just a few days at doses of 800mcg-1200mcg.
But I don't have 5 top supps yet. Darn.
