Hi!
I didn't notice it affecting me.
It's actually only way more recently that I heard of l-glutamine.
When I was having the problems with candida, I used MANY supplements & the main one I used for Leaky Gut Syndrome was NAG.
At that time, I tested as sensitive to LOTS of foods - interestingly enough, many of them were ones I ate pretty well every day.
I understand that that's another contributing factor to developing food sensitivities - eating some really frequently.
Have you ever done a questionnaire (sp?) to determine whether or not you're likely to have Candida?
My 2 books on it are out on loan to a friend right now, but I think the name of the main one is The Yeast Connection - by ----- Brooks (can't remember first name; I think he's a doctor.)
It really sucks to have sensitivities to things.
as to insomnia - have you ever tried any Homeopathic remedies? The company name of a good brand is "Hyland's". A good one for anxiety & sleeplessness is called "Calms Forte".
If you're interested & can't get it there, I could easily send you some, just in an envelope & you could try them. I used to be REALLY dependent on Rivotril. We're talking REALLLLYYY - if I started getting low, I'd get really anxious. I actually carried a prescription around in my purse for 2 years (I had about 7 left) 'just in case'!! Anyway, I found Calms Forte & it worked so well I was able to throw out the pills (I kept 1 just to remind myself how dependent I'd become on them) and also the prescription!
I have found homeopathic remedies good for quite a few things, over the years.
I send ya hugs, Kath
