I've taken spirulina for my anergic/vegetative depression, and when I did, I noticed a reduction in the severity of all of my depressive symptoms that only lasted about a day. In other words, I built up a tolerance to the stuff really quickly. I can't say that you or anyone else will have the same response to spirulina that I did because responses to supplements can vary, but I must say that my response to the supplement was short lived.
I haven't tried wheatgrass, but I just wanted to chime in and share my spirulina response with you.
