I don't really have an answer, but I'm curious too! I've been taking Rhodiola for a couple of years without a break. I take so many things that I don't know if it has pooped out or not, frankly (it's part of my adrenal stress blend). I might try not taking it over the weekends to see. Maybe 3 weeks then one week off makes the most sense. I don't see why anyone would have to stop taking it for a month.
