Kudzu for alcohol cravings?

Hi all. I've just ordered some Kudzu (standardized extract). I'm using it to try and help me drink less. Was wondering if anybody here knows how its thought to work, or have tried it themselves? Does it work like Acamprosate? Any contraindications?
