Past history
started about 2004 - when was voluntarily hospitalized
they never gave a reason for the initial diagnosisstarted taking around 1500 mg Depakote and 15mg zyprexa
then tried stopping zyprexa - stopped everything completely then restarted again with zyprexa and depakote
i never had support once i would stop the medicationstook depakote alone, tried risperdal and trileptal, tried abilify and geodon
finally: lamictal 50mg, zyprexa 2.5mg, lexapro 5mg
they just tried to change the cocktail with different anti psychotics, different anti convulsants, different anti depressants, etc - different combinations
pills caused side effects such as forgetfulness, obesity, dullness/lethargy, slowness in thinking, loss of emotion
caused changes in personalitytried to stop the pills many times most recently with orthomolecular/energy medicine
everytime it would fail because i could not sleep for days and it caused me to be manic
i even tried withdrawing with just a personal trainer for fitness but could not sleep
tried chinese acupuncture and herbs but did not improve sleep
tried to quit work and see if it helped
i tried different herb supplements but they just caused unbalances, i tried plenty of supplements maybe upto 30
hospitalization was not helpful because nothing happened there except increase pills
one doctor even suggested ECT treatments for a few months because he said it would 'cure' me and he had a hospital full of such patients.
tried ayurvedic herbs but they caused fear psychosis
tried homoeopathy but once i reduced the pills and had withdrawal symptoms there was no support
