I did read somewhere....the neuroleptics generate oxidative stress. That's one reason (apparently) the atypicals cause so much weight gain...its those damn free radicals, lol.
Some studies have used other potent antioxidants, such as alpha lipoic acid and green tea extract, in preventing weight gain from zyprexa, to good effect.
Maybe that's what's happening with your astaxanthin?
