We are only hearing one side of the story here and should not be validating someones calling certain treatment "abuse" (a MUCH overused and misused word) There must be a reason that mom locks up the medication....
Also, teachers can report "abuse" but.....they can also get into BIG trouble if they are found to be calling a certain family's method of dicipline "abuse".
