S,
As I have posted on the other page, my daughter and I are both BPII. I found out that I was BP, after she was diagnosed. The doc. suspected because it runs in families, and he talked to us as family at first, and noticed the anxiety in my personality. That lead to the MMPI testing, etc. It is a good idea for your daughter to see someone. BP usually comes around the age of 15 or 16, and thinking back, that's when I first noticed myself having the symptoms. My mother didn't do anything about it, at the time. It took my daugther's being diagnosed for me to go far enough with the testing to get the actual diagnosis. I had a feeling for years that something wasn't right. I am like a light switch, that can be turned on and off, 20 times during the day. You are doing the right thing by addressing this now, and getting it under control. I was there with my daughter at 15, and now at 17, we are finally getting better. -L
