Steinhauer- EDs and self injury

Hi Dr. Steinhauer,

My therapist told me that I physically abuse myself. I told her that I have never done that. She said that bulimia is physically abusing myself.

I've been bulimic for 27 years and I never thought of it as self injury. Maybe that's just denial on my part, but I'd appreciate your thoughts (and expertise.)
