PeggyY,
Let me copy a quote from a friend who e-mailed me during a rough time I've had recently. This says everything I would like to say to you:"I firmly believe that God gives us the trials He is confident we can handle. If your troubles seem huge and insurmountable, look at the other side of the coin-- that is God TELLING you,
"My Dear Daughter, that is how much strength you have. You have enough strength to get beyond this".If you were really truly weak, needy and confused, the biggest challenge God would have given you would be what color dress to wear this morning."
Please have faith that there is a reason God has given you the trial you are going through, and when you make the passage and come out on the other side, you will understand why. There are amazing gifts to be granted during hard times! Compassion, wisdom, humility, understanding...these are all things that we wouldn't have access to without going through difficulties. Try to be thankful, even during times of hardship. Hardship is a gift from God. Trust that God has a reason for it, even if you don't understand it. Have faith.
Here is a scripture to meditate on in times of uncertainty and fear. It has helped me to use it, almost like a mantra, during hard times.
[Phillipians 4:5-7] ...The Lord is near. Do not be anxious over anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving let your petitions be made known to God.
Pray. Supplicate!!! Give thanks. That can take the place of worry, and it is much more effective!
God bless.
Autumn
