I just want to go easy when it comes to the world. Help when I can but not get stressed out about the news I can do nothing about. It took me two years to get over columbine, I'm not sure I'm over 9/11.

I don't know about "reactive" prayer, in response to the world. I'm more into surrendering to the Spirit than reacting to the world. Easier said than done. (I can't count the times I've disconnected tv cable to get away from the news only to have it reconnected)

If our attention is on the world - and we are passing through like pilgrims - is our treasure there also?
