Do you see faith as generic or specific?
For instance:
When one believes the "Bible" to be the word of God (as far as the translation is correct), the Bible itself then becomes their personal measuring standard for science and other theories. That is why I feel free to say "the Bible proves" in relation to theories on faith.

I believe the Bible contains the literal word of God, as far as the translation is correct.

Some would challenge my saying "as far as the translation is correct", so If anyone would like to know of discrepencies in translations between the German, Hebrew, and English.....I have a couple in mind, bearing in mind that my purpose for sharing is not to put down another's translation of the Bible, but to embrace all truth as near as we can discover it for ourselves.
