In reply to The Holy Spirit, how do we hear him?, posted by mmcconathy on January 21, 2005, at 19:22:39
Dear Matt,
The Bible teaches that Jesus promised us a Comforter after He ascended to Heaven.Joh 14:16
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; The Holy Spirit dwells within our hearts after we become born-again.
He is God....so He "speaks" to us in many different ways.
The Bible...other believers...circumstances..and answered prayer, just to name a few.Seek the Lord in prayer....and ask The Spirit to lead you. its as simple as that.
Also...dont try and figure out the Trinity.
I have found that God is too big and too Awesome
to "totally" figure out and understand.
Just take comfort in the fact that He exists...
He cares about you...and He will not turn a deaf ear to those who call upon Him.Seek Him with all your heart...He will not hide from you.
