Aspartame and Rosacea?

OK, my husband just came home from work last night to announce that his rosacea is actually from aspartame -- because he read something on the internet about aspartame causing rashes.

Anyone have any information about such a link? Or is he -- this would not be atypical -- just trying to avoid seeing a dermatologist?
