Thank you, Larry.
The trial was cancelled, then I was called because they were short of subjects. Now I'm thinking about Lyrica again.
Meantime, I've been checking out another fibro study w/milnacipran. I understand it's not used yet in the US; just research. I'm torn as to which one to go with. I've never taken antidepressants although I tried 5 mgs. of Celexa once (my hubby's) and had such a fierce headache & acid stomach (unusual for me) that I wrote those possibilities off my list. But, recently, the fibro or arthritis or whatever has gotten worse and my pcp doesn't pay any attention so I though about trials & free meds, etc.
I'm a bit afraid of Lyrica too and read someplace that they thought a 30% reduction in pain was great. I had something much higher in mind for myself! Also, I already sometimes feel like my mind isn't as sharp as it could be and any more fog would be unacceptable. My hubby has MS and one of us has to stay on top of things.
I appreciate your insights. I fully understand that every person's response is unique but it's truly good to hear the personal perspective.
