Diabetes

Jammerlich, and everyone else, get your self checked for diabetes and if your fasting blood sugar is borderline, don't do what I did, put it out of my mind, thankful that I didn't have diabetes. Insist on a glucose tolerance test. Fasting blood sugars are the last thing that will go up before you're officially diabetic. in the meantime, you could be having high blood sugars after eating. This is what happened to me and now I've got constant irreversible pain in my feet from peripheral neuropathy. Metformin works for me with no side effects and if I'd started it a few years earlier I might have avoided the peripheral neuropathy altogether. I also get yeast infections, but the OTC creams work fine. Cecilia
