Go yoga!
I love it. No bouncing, jumping, keeping up, expensive equipment, or shoes required.I have been practicing yoga more intensively this year than I ever have before. It's reaping benefits for me left and right, but most impressively, with my mental health. Daily meditation practice helps to keep anxiety at bay if it rears up. Once I realized that noticing my breath was a different thing from trying to control my breath, it became much easier.
Even if I feel completely worthless and unmotivated, I can still stand on one foot, or go into a lunge that any warrior would be proud of, or, my favourite way of looking at the world, upside down via downward dog. Each time it is different, and it's acceptable to be able to do one pose one day and then not on another. It just is what it is.I have a great teacher. She's patient, consistent, gentle, and very strong.
