I would think so.
Funny (ha ha!) enough, while I was on Effexor, my hot flashes became really severe and frequent. It went on for 2 years. I do a lot of laundry :-)

Now I am on HRT, the hot flashes are resolved; though I am a sweater and living in a hot climate means I just plain get uncomfortable. I have always been this way. When I lived "up north" I had the worst hat-hair in the winter because my scalp would perspire so much (um, noticeably so).
Instead of flashing with heat, the HRT seems to have initiated a depressive episode. I am loathe to go back for any medication adjustments simply because my hot flashes finally have been relieved. I'm hoping that I will Buck Up, but if anyone dares actually say that to me, I will bop them on the nose.
