I'm having just the local aneasthetic, as I've had as many cortisone injections as I am allowed in elbow and wrist (apprently more than 3 in each area can cause tendon damage)
and I am continuing with accupuncture (I get reduced rates at work which is very handy!), as if nothing else, I find it very calming and useful for my mental health.Its great to hear some positive stories.. thanks guys. My first set of injections is on the 24th, and followed weekly for a total of 4 weeks, when I'll take a 3 week break and see how they have helped. The doctor said I can continue these indefinately and that they have a very low side effect profile which is good for sensitive little old me..
I'll let you know how it goes..
