I dont generally post on this board, but...
I really like the ellipticals. I feel like it's a better workout than a stationary bike, at least for me, and there is no impact. It's very easy to get into a solid rhythm, and the difficulty of the workout changes drastically with how fast you go... more so that increasing or decreasing speed on a bike, in my opinion.
I think they also make them that allow you to work your arms at the same time. I've never used one of these - I'm afraid it'd be a balance problem for me - but it looks like it'd be a great workout.
My favorite type of exercise has to be step aerobics though. I'm a dancer and step is just dance-y enough to keep me entertained. Group fitness definitely isnt for everyone though.
