Echocardiogram Questions

Posted by Lonely on September 1, 2007, at 0:37:54

Ok, everyone, I'm on a roll here with tests lately! And with that comes a lot of uncertainty as docs aren't answering my questions through their staffs.

A recent echocardiogram indicated "technically difficult" which doesn't surprise me. The tech pressed terribly hard and talked about calling in a nurse and using dye which I vetoed. I'm allergic to a lot of dyes.

So, PV is not well seen, AV is not well seen. Does that really matter?

It does say "a trace of tricuspid regurgitation" - that's not really important, is it?

It also said "Insufficient TR jet to estimate PA systolic pressure. What does that mean?

Under "Dias: LV relaxation is impaired. LV filling pressure is elevated. LV respiratory variation is not present." What does that mean? Does that have anything to do with asthma or lung disease?

Otherwise things seem to be normal with just a trace of mitral regurgitation.
