Hypoglycemia Interpretation

Posted by johnj on October 2, 2007, at 18:45:01

Hi all:

I had a glucose test done (2 hour) and I felt terrible during it. After drinking that glucose stuff my blood sugar did not spike but stayed pretty low at 91 and then dropped to 59 at the two hour range. It would have been nice to see if it would have still dropped but I was feeling really bad.

The doc said I have symptomatic hypoglycemia and I need to eat every 2 or 3 hours. I even wake up afte sleep 5 hours and need to eat. Sometimes I get back to sleep but a lot of times I don't. The diet is really hard and my stomach is wondering what the hell I am doing eating so often.

Does anybody know what my results mean? I was told it should have went higher and then not drop below 70 to be normal. Any thoughts?
