effexor XR

I'm trying to figure out what's happening to me. Just googled effexor...ended up here. I am having Major withdrawal symptoms. Went off cold turkey a few days ago...bad idea. Never had these kinds of problems before I started taking it about 2 years ago. Dr. didn't tell me about withdrawal when it was prescribed. How long could this last? Is it dangerous? (I mean, physically dangerous to quit abruptly.) Everything seems sort of unreal right now, and I'm not sure how to find my way around this site. Sure could use some help!
