Hey Philip, welcome to Babble :-)
I personally haven't had that experience with anti-depressants. It would be worth copying your post over to the main babble board (which deals with biological treatments) because you are much more likely to find people with similar experiences there.
So... You were on your med for 2 years and things were fine. Then you stopped taking it and didn't have any wirhdrawal, but now... A few months down the track things aren't going so well again?
I've heard people asking how long they have to stay on their med for... And I've heard that 2 years is a good idea. But then if the symptoms come back... Are you having therapy at all? I'm wondering because a combination of meds and therapy has been found to have better results for depression than meds alone. I've also heard that techniques learned in CBT, for example, can help prevent relapse. Agorophobia and anxiety are also things that are dealt with quite often in CBT.
I'm not sure how much your experience is part of the scheme...
I'm not sure what to say.
Hang in there.
