This blew my mind

I found out from my T today that my ex pdoc/therapist married a patient of his. The marriage (#3) happened while I was seeing him so I knew he had gotten remarried and he introduced me once to his wife. I just didn't know the history.
My T said he followed all the ethical rules - he didn't start "seeing" her until 2 years after she stopped being his patient, but that others in the psych community thought it was totally wrong.
For some reason this floored me. When I told my husband, his reaction was the equivalent of 'what's the big deal.'
