I'm back from vacation and back online, yay!
I had therapy this morning which went pretty ok - we covered a lot of ground.
Quite a bit of the session was spent discussing the possibility of me going into group in a few months time. I really don't know whether I want to do it and whether it will benefit me.
At the moment the pros are:
~It will give me more perspectives on my situation
~It will be a change from individual therapy and may work better
~It will wean me off therapy gradually rather than suddenly stopping having any kind of therapeutic relationshipand the cons:
~I can't go to individual therapy if I go to group (because of funding/policy)
~I don't have the desire to talk to a load of strangers about myself (I like to choose who I disclose to, and I have people I can talk to outside group if I need to)
~I don't particulary have problems with interpersonal skills, relating to others etc
~I'll be much more interested in other people's problems than my ownSo I'm confused. Any ideas of what I should do, or experiences of group would be really appreciated!
