oh, good question! In addition to having some "real" issues (that were misdiagnosed), I also -- all my life -- have suffered from 'imaginary illnesses.' It started as a child when I saw things on channel 11 (Chicago) about surgeries & illnesses & was SURE I had them. I would cry and cry and my mom couldn't comfort me. Later on, as I got older, I "got" cancer multiple times (not really, of course - just thought I had it), had a bone disease, and lately thought I had MS/ALS.
Usually, though, I can tell when I have something "really" wrong, and it frustrates me when a doc doesn't listen.
