Anyone know to to find CBT in the UK?

I'm looking to start some CBT here in the UK. I'm getting preferred to a pdoc by my GP, but I would really really like to try CBT. I guess I would have to get it done privately.
So...anyone know how to find a good CBT person here in the UK? Is there a directory or something of them? Do they need to have to be registered with some society?
Any help would be much appreciated.
I'm kinda new to the therapy board -- most of my posts are on pbabble or alt.
