> Hello,
hey.
> Does anyone know of resources where I can find online support for depression, such as groups or psychotherapy?there are a variety of self-help boards available on the internet (like this one). they vary a bit with respect to what they are like... personally... i have found that i have gotten more help off consumers on boards than i have gotten from the majority of clinicians i have ever seen.
that being said i would put a warning in there about getting involved with boards like that where the stuff you talk through is archived on the internet indefinately for anyone with an internet connection to view...
that being said, there are sites only viewable to members though you might have to hunt around a bit more...
> In particular, I was wondering if there are any psych schools that are offering intern provided (and therefore more affordable) online e-therapy.
hmm. good idea. can you let me know if you find anything? to the best of my knowledge... interns / peoples in training don't seem to do internships / training in internet therapy...
> I was also looking for a good source of online support (chat) groups.
google 'self help boards' or 'mental health boards' and stuff like that... things will come up.
i only know of here... psychcentral... and kali munroe has some boards... i think there might be a group called usenet (but i'm not sure) and i think other people might be able to tell you a couple of others...
