Can you afford to a hotel, until there's something to take care of the mice and frogs? Maybe it would be worth it while the dust is so thick and the contractors come at ungodly hours of the morning.
Seriously, a lot of people do move out briefly during major construction. and if there are living creatures being unearthed-- I really think it's entirely rational to get away. It sounds awfully stressful--
