Hi,
I've noticed that when I'm feeling good and my mood is good (usually because of medication alterations) my thoughts are automatically positive as well.
When I'm feeling below par my thoughts go with it.
When I'm feeling extremely anxious, not sleeping, retching etc, I hardly care about anything anyway, other than the fact that I feel so bad, have kind of gone past the stage of caring about anything anyway.
Anyway, with me it's more about how I'm feeling physically than what I'm thinking and the feelings always seem to precede the thoughts rather than the other way around.
I am seeing a therapist now in a last ditch attempt to find out if there is some underlying reason that's caused this and he confirmed what I've always felt, that the feelings come before the thoughts.
I have had therapy in the past on two occasions whilst on medication and I always felt that it was the medication that helped and not the therapy at all. Which is why I've never got this notion that medication and therapy, the two combined, work better than either one alone.
