I have tried EMDR and found it to be successful for some issues and not for others. Generally, the feedback I get from other trauma patients, is that it has helped them enormously in processing abuse memories with less pain, or to gain access to memories. I have a close friend who is a clinical psychologist and believes all her clients (abused/non-abused) have all benefited greatly from emdr. She says it often helps people realize the connection between current emotions and past incidents, whereas they were not able to make those çonnections before using EMDR. You should do a PB search on EMDR; there are threads regarding it as a treatment tool in the archives. Shellie
