Are they wolves? (reference Farley Mowat, the wolves he lived with lived off mice) I think they would be so happy to go out, seeing the leash, they wouldn't know what was going on and like my dashunds when I was a kid, tear ahead, pulling me behind on the leash. Even Mighty Mouse was only so strong.
