Wish I could help .
We'd buy balloons lots of em, and them colorful streamer thingies wear them round our neck get a real homemade cake have a trifle(don't know US equivalent - fruit jelly?).
Have a jelly fight and stamp on all them balloons whilst singing silly songs.
You can still cry if u want I'll cry with u I'm doing alot of that lately.
