> One of the best writers I've ever read. Don't let the name fool you-- this isn't one of those Tuesday with Morrie books.I'm confused. Don't let WHAT name fool you? Amazing Grace? That doesn't sound like Tuesdays with Morrie. Or Jonathan Kozol? He's well-known for his books about children and education, not for books like Tuesdays with Morrie. Isn't that a kind of heart-rending biography?
Oh, well. I'm glad you read the book. Kozol has excellent ideas about education. It is a book I have been meaning to read but put it off when I saw him on so many talk shows I thought I'd read it already!
If you want to go even deeper, read Neil Postman. His books, especially The Disappearance of Childhood, The End of Education, and Technopoly, are profound.
