Eliz and I and another woman (Lorraine) wrote to each other everyday for over six months--starting spring 2001, I think. She had thought her depression was related to immuned deficiency and it turned out that she was right, finding finally that she was at a late stage of lyme disease. Lyme can imitate the characteristics of depression, as well as other things. She has being treated for the lyme but I think it is a long process of several types of antibiotics and they made her feel really sick with diarrhea.

Hi Shelli,
Thanks for your reply. When you spoke of Lyme Disease, I was uncertain whether you were referring to Lorraine or Elizabeth. I had Lyme Disease a few years ago, and I will be retested in a few days. Lyme Disease is quite prevalent in the area where I live. Unfortunately, the testing is still unsatisfactory.

I do hope that Elizabeth returns to the board. She really does have a lot to contribute to PB. Of course, if she got into medical school, I'm sure she has her work cut out for her and probably doesn't have much time to spend on message boards.

Thanks again.
Bekka
