Hi KDi, WOW! I see my post! My dad sounds similar to yours. My dad has been in and out of my life and I also wish that I could have experienced more of an emotional bond with him, especially as I was growing into adulthood.
Unfortunately, alcohol and other women became more important than his wife and family. And love and acceptance took a backseat to HIS anger outbursts, I hear you.
Sometimes I wonder if some of my relationships or many of them for that matter stem from relationships with my parents?
What do you think? Anyone have a take on this in general?
