I'm afraid we'll need them. Tomorrow is exploratory surgery. There is too much fluid on his belly to tell anything. But apparently there are some possible noncatastrophic (though expensive and painful) reasons, as well as some catastrophic ones. I'll be sitting vigil tomorrow during the surgery, and I should know by tomorrow afternoon.
