>My self imposed hiatus has been difficult to maintain, as I do like this community. However, I feel my "leave" will need to become a long term one. This isn't an easy decision. It has nothing to do with the majority of activity and posters here and I have been aided and supported by so many of you. I am so grateful. I simply can't be exposed to some of the activity here. Falling prey to a number of "negative cognitions", I foresee the future based on the past. Those of you exposed to some of the history here... I hope can know what I'm writing about ..... I'm trying to be civil.
>I have felt safe a number of times and everytime, that's EVERYTIME, I feel really comfortable, something from the past will distrub this level of comfort I have enjoyed. I'm tired of the same cycle. I have wounds that open and healing doesn't seem to occur with time.
>I take responsibility for my responses as they are mine.
>You all please care for yourselves. I have enjoyed this community.
>KellyKelly,
Take care and I hope you find support elsewhere in addition to your offline life. Yes you have seen the writing on the wall. The archives are full of this strife.
The community as a whole is a concept I cannot comment on as it would not be civil but you might want to read this:
"It's hard to argue against "mercy". But I'm trying to think of the community as a whole and not just one individual. Who, after all, is free to go elsewhere for support. "The good of the many outweighs the good of the few."" Bob http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/admin/20020308/msgs/4118.html
I hear you about the past telling the future. This has been a long slow decline as this board grows and the nature of the "research" was tainted from the beginning.
I'm available through PB Open if you want my e-mail address. Otherwise please know you're fondly thought of after you leave.
I still think about and miss supportive posters who were very present here in 2000 and 2001 who no longer participate due to administrative conflicts. (I think the mass exodus began in 2002 for the original people who started out on this board)
Take care and if possible I would like to stay in touch with you.
