Chuckle. (Not laughing AT you - you know me better...)
But....
22+ years in the Air Force.
7:30 - 4:30 for about 18 of those.
The rest...sometimes 6am, or 7am.
And then, there were always the periodic middle of the night training exercises and so forth...And you know what's so interesting, and always seems to come up somehow in therapy....
I voluntarily served, working such early (and many times VERY long) days for nearly a quarter century....and I HATE mornings.
Don't function until about 10 am. Dragged myself to work most of those years. Drew strength and energy from pots of balck coffee and my troops/coworkers who WERE morning people. I am completely a night owl according to every set of criteria or test I'm ever taken/seen.
Yet somehow I managed.
Not presently working. Miss the structure. In a warped way, miss HAVING to be chipper and dressed and functioning at 7:30.
But on the other hand.....oh, never mind. I am conflicted and trying to find my way with this whole work thing and it's proving to be verrrry confusing.
Voce, welcome to my (former) world of military-style work hours! You can do it.
