Absolutely - there are misdiagnoses and those who have been medicated incorrectly. Just as there are those with pains who go to their GP and specialists, to be told there is nothing wrong, "it's nothing", and whaddyaknow, they had a tumor. And died. Or those who have surgery and the wrong side of the body is operated upon.
Psychiatry is no less fallible than any other branch of medicine, IMO. It's the patients who have the right for another opinion. It's important (I think) that we not bestow our physicians with god-like qualities which they don't possess.
But for someone to say that psychiatric meds are "wrong" - is not a statement I would agree with.
