Wot, you ask me a question and in the same breath inform me that you are just about to bug off???
;-)
I'm addicted to board games.
Tasmania is quite nice. I have been there. It is rather a lot like Christchurch NZ. Quite a traditional / conservative society. Church on every corner just about.>I do know (I think) that although Australia has almost every poisonous critter known to humankind, New Zealand has no snakes, poisonous or otherwise? No deadly insects? I may be wildly misinformed.
We don't have any snakes. There is one variety of poisionous spider (the red-back). But you only find them in the bush (forest). Don't have to worry about them really. There are no natural predators in NZ either. But then cats and rats and possums and wallabies and dogs and ferrets and rabbits were introduced. Now they are a bit of a pain with respect to keeping the native species of flora and fauna alive.
Thats how come the kiwi could live in NZ. The kiwi can't fly. It is defenseless against preditors. They are endangered now.
There are some fairly smalish islands off the main north and south island that have been set up as native sanctuaries. Tourist numbers are kept way down (you even have to take your sh*t out with you).
You take care too.
