But if a man (or woman for that matter) never recognizes that they spit the chewed up gum at your face, and they keep spitting it at you, are you supposed to just stand there and hope that some of the gum doesn't stick, but rather falls to the ground for someone else to step on?
It's the same piece of gum Toph.
It keeps coming at me. I keep standing there feeling it hit my face and I think I am human in my response to request that the gum be spat in another direction.
But of course, I do bring up old stuff all the time. I harbor grudges. I can't forget. And in reality, I can't forgive. Yet, I don't seem to be walking in the other direction either.
