Is it really almost Christmas?

I know it is, but there's nothing in me that actually feels it. In fact, if I had a choice, I'd go straight to sleep and wake up next year.

There are still a couple of things I need to go get and I just don't want to do it. And I've yet to wrap a single gift. Truthfully, I've bought what I have because I know people expect it - there's no joy or desire in it for me this year. Just going through the motions.

I don't mean to be such a Scrooge. But can't we just skip it this year? I'm already thinking about next year and how I can get out of the whole thing.

Sigh.
